声音动人的女主唱Sharleen Spiteri 对于Texas重要度就如同Gwen Stefani之于No Doubt--全球乐迷只要一听到乐团名字，无不首先联想到这位乐团标志性的焦点美声美女唱将。
Sharleen Spiteri 1967年11月7日出生于格拉斯哥，Sharleen Eugene Spiteri的音乐首到这些乐队的影响，The Clash、Blondie、Marvin Gaye和 Prince，她也是Diana Ross的歌迷。她和朋友们成立Texas乐队的时候还是个美发师。Sharleen参与了不少大牌乐队的声乐演唱，如在德国战车的金曲"Stirb Nicht Vor Mir//Don't Die Before I Do" ，在苏格兰乐队gun 1989年的专辑Taking On The World和1992年的Gallus专辑中也担当了大量歌曲的声乐演唱。她和gun的歌手Mark Rankin还是表兄妹。
2008年Sharleen Spiteri带来了自己的首张个人专辑"melody",其中首只单曲"All the Times I Cried"UK首周上榜排名TOP47，本周TOP26。[/b][/size][/color]
