Seriously, it should be a Class 1 felony that there's no way to buy this. Okay, so maybe that's a stretch, but we can't get over how genius this is. As the old adage asserts, the best solutions are spawned from the most perplexing quandaries, and when one hacker determined that two
USB ports on his laptop simply weren't enough, he figured out a way around it. Essentially, he utilized a VGA gender changer, a spare USB port and a bit of old fashioned solder work in order to transform an unwanted VGA connector into a power-only USB socket. Sure, the applications are limited, but are you really going to complain about an extra option for charging your cellphone / DAP / Darth Vader voice changer? No, no you are not.
VGA port。

ShareThis This guy went through some troubles to add a power-only USB port to his netbook by modding a nifty adapter that borrows electricity from a VGA port. This
adapter is going to come in handy when your existing USB devices have occupied all the ports on a notebook, and one of your power hungry device (e.g.
USB hard drive) needs extra power. To assemble the so-called VGA to USB adapter, you will need a male-to-male VGA gender changer and a female plug from any old USB extension cable. The important procedure is to connect the RED 5V wire to the PIN 9 on the gender changer; afterward, hook up the BLACK to PIN 10 (GND). After soldering, rest of the steps are simply to fill the connector with EPOXY to avoid breaking the connector accidentally.

**NOTE**
Due to the popularity, there will be an updated and improved "product" in the next week after the holiday, this one will ensure that there is little to no risk of frying your graphics chip, or anything of the like.
Also, if I can generate enough interest, I "MIGHT" be making these in limited quantities (at first, until I find a faster/better method).
Pricing is going to be about $10,
step 1PartsWe need a male to male VGA gender changer and a female plug from any old USB extension cable.
step 2ConnectWhat we want to do is connect the RED 5V wire to PIN 9 on the gender changer.
Connect the BLACK to PIN 10 (GND).
If it makes it easier to solder, pull the unused pins out with a pair of pliers.
step 3GlueAfter Soldering, I filled the connector with EPOXY, now I don't have to worry about breaking the connector.
step 4PuttyNext, I used EPOXY Putty to fill it out and reinforce the connector.
step 5Putty-File-PaintNext, I used a file to file the putty down and make it look a little cleaner and zapped it with some BLACK spraypaint and a couple of layers of CLEARCOAT.
