Going to the sesame place was my wifes idea, I thought the park has closed for the duration of the fall/winter season, but my wife went online and found that they have one last opening today, and the ticket price is really cheap, considering therell be 6 people going there, the prices are practically stealing, needless to say, I bought the tickets right there online. The days leading up to the park visit was full of anticipation, and I dont just mean my daughter, whos the worlds biggest Elmo fan, she has to watch the Elmo video at least twice a day, and I have bought enough stuffed toys from sesame street, I can proudly say I can open a sesame street themed kindergarten with no need to purchase stuffed toys. My wifes been here 5 years, and yet she has never been to an amusement park, to that end, my wife was looking forward to this visit as much as my daughter. The day came, and before I know it, my wife and daughter are all washed up, ready for breakfast, while I was still in bed, ha ha, this is the first time they have beaten me on rising early. We left our home at 9am, the drive to the sesame place takes about one hour, and when we arrived, its around 10, I told my wife that the park hasnt opened yet, but surprise surprise, theres a line out the door already, let me tell you, today, the temperature is around 50 degrees, but theres wind gusting up to 40mph, so you know how cold it gets, but the park was full of little kids already, amazing. We went in to the park, and caught Abbys show on first round; say what you will about showbiz, but these characters can really sing and dance. The whole time, my daughter and wifes face are ear to ear grins. After the show, we went for playing the net climb, and various other attractions, the most memorable one is the vapor trial, basically a roller coaster, surprisingly, it does have some serious turns and loops, I dont know if the kids can really handle it, but from what I saw, most of the riders were adults, guess the park have to have some thing for us big kids too. The big birds charismas show is the next big item, and the theater was filled from wall to wall, with characters from the sesame street singing, dancing, and touching with all the kids, its very fun. My daughter got a pet from Elmo on her head, and she was so happy about it, she gave that little red monster a big kiss. After the show, its time for the closing parade, we were standing around, waiting for the show to start, when all the sudden, Rosita came from nowhere, and hugged my daughter, again, ear to ear grin on my daughters face. All told, its been a great day for my daughter, she gets to see her favorite characters perform, and I got to see her smiling that much more.
